About Moustache Bikes

How are Moustache bikes made?

Since the launch of the brand in 2011, every Moustache bike has been designed, drawn, tested, and assembled in-house in the Vosges region of France. And this isn’t just a marketing claim — these bikes are created by cyclists, for cyclists, of all kinds, and you can feel it the moment you take the handlebars.

However, not all parts and components of the bikes are produced in the factory. Specialized suppliers are required for specific components. This is particularly true for the hydroformed aluminum frames, the centerpiece of every bike, where quality is essential. These frames have been manufactured in Taiwan by a trusted partner for over 10 years.

The frames and various components (like Bosch motors from Germany, Brooks saddles from England, Supernova lights from Germany, etc.) are then delivered to the Vosges. The final assembly of every bike is carried out by a single assembler. Every year, new team members are trained on the production lines, resulting in the creation of dozens of jobs over the years — one of the brand’s greatest prides.

The goal is to bring even more activity and added value locally to the Thaon-Les-Vosges factory. That’s why specific production lines, such as those for wheel manufacturing, are continuously being developed.
